Do hospice aides need to be CNAs to care for patients in the SNF setting? We are a hospice in Pennsylvania. We are considering adding a role for non-certified aide that we train according to the requirements of §418.76. A SNF partner is concerned that we will put them at risk for non-compliance if we use our non-certified aide in their building.
