We've recently seen a reduction/elimination of referrals from some SNF/LTC communities with the reasoning appearing to be the SNF being able to bill for Comfort Care or Palliative Care. Have there been any recent SNF changes that would increase their ability or desire to bill for Comfort Care/Palliative Care vs referring to hospice when the patient is eligible?
