We are currently trying to determine proper productivity standards for Hospice staff.
I have searched for information regarding this and have seen some companies might use patient hours versus office hours or might have a set 25 visits per week.
We were hoping to gather some more thoughts for a possible more granular look related to RN's, LPN's, SW, and AIDES.
The other pieces that I am curious about is if an agency does use patient hours (direct care) versus office hours what is the percentage that is the goal for the staff?
How is this tracked with your EMR?
Finally is travel time counted towards patient hours?
I also am aware that these standard can vary in hospice related to weekend staff and on call staff any insight into these roles would be great as well.
