CMS posted a new HOPE training resource today. This is a five-part video training series available online. More information is in the announcement below.
*Please note that the slides and transcript that CMS indicates are available are not yet posted. We have made an inquiry to CMS to get an estimated date of when these will be available.
In addition to the resources posted today, we are expecting to see CMS post information for hospice providers about the transition from QIES to iQIES yet this summer. We do not have an exact date when this will be available, but per other CMS publications it may be later this month. Stay tuned to this Community channel and other Alliance publications for more information.
NEW RESOURCES AVAILABLE: Hospice Outcomes and Patient Evaluation (HOPE) National Implementation Virtual Training Program Course 1: Didactic Recorded Training Series
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is offering a series of five self-paced recorded presentations and corresponding PDFs which highlight items that are new for HOPE, as well as the existing and updated items carried over from the Hospice Item Set (HIS).
It is highly recommended that all five parts of this didactic course be reviewed prior to attending the coding workshop in August. A registration announcement for the workshop will be sent via the listserv.
