The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) recently released the annual Measures Under Consideration (MUC) list. Alliance comments and articles on the topic can be found here, here and here.
There is one measure under consideration pertaining to the Home Health Quality Reporting Program (HHQRP), Advance Care Planning (ACP). There are no measures under consideration for the Hospice Quality Reporting Program (HQRP). However, home health agencies, hospices, and palliative care providers may be especially interested in the ACP measure as well as other measures such as the Dialysis Facility Discussion of Patient Life Goals. Home health, hospice and palliative care providers may also have a special interest in five measures in this year's MUC List that CMS has called out for alignment with the Make America Health Again (MAHA) initiative.
The Alliance is seeking your input on the MUC List. Comments must be submitted to the Partnership for Quality Measurement (PQM) in early January. Please submit your comments to the Alliance by January 2, 2026 to Regulatory@allianceforcareathome.org
