We recently hired an LSW for our hospice program. We understand that her practice must be supervised, but I would appreciate hearing from other agencies what that looks like. Our social workers complete initial onboarding including training in hospice & PC, complete quarterly documentation reviews and annual in-person supervisory visits, they hold monthly social worker meetings for ongoing training and opportunity to share professional expertise. All of these activities are documented. Is an MSW required to review and approve LSW initial POC? Are there any other hospice specific requirements for supervision?
