Requesting the advice of the Hospice Community: Would Hospice cover the removal of two Nephrostomy tubes from a patient with a diagnosis of Malignant Neoplasm of the prostate, with secondary dx of malignant neoplasm of intra-abd nodes. He has had these tubes since admission the beginning of January. The tubes are not functioning as they should. Patient just wants to pass, does not want them replaced. they are bothersome to him. He is aware of the issues that could occur post removal.
