Currently our hospice agency has most patients using their PCP as their hospice attending. We do have a hospice medical director that is a part of their team as well. The medical director is used for certifying, re-certifying, attending IDGS and support when we are unable to get a hold of the PCP (Hospice Attending).
We are wondering what other agencies are doing when it comes to the hospice attending. What are your patients using as their provider for hospice services? For example, who sends orders for change in level of care, comfort medications and attends IDG's.
