I would love to connect with any hospice providers who are using EPIC and who have IPUs to ask some questions about how the HOPE assessment data is entered by clinicians in EPIC for patients who are in hospice inpatient units. We have some concerns about how the documentation of HOPE is set up in the Hyperspace environment. When quality staff needs to review pt records to confirm the nurses' answers to the HOPE questions are supported in their documentation we believe it will be difficult to verify the correct data is there based on the current format for charting in the IPU using flowsheets.
