Is anyone able to provide the most recent guidance on the use of electronic signatures by patient/legal representative when a beneficiary is electing hospice services? The last I heard it was being addressed differently by each fiscal intermediary and our hospice has NGS so I would specifically like to hear their take on it.
Is it acceptable to have patient/legal rep sign using finger/stylus on an iPad or computer screen, with the form saved electronically. The pt/legal rep is given a hard copy of the form also.
