Hi, everyone. CMS has posted the plans that will be participating in the MA VBID Model, including those that will participate in the Hospice Benefit Component, for CY2024. There will be lower participation by plans in 2024 – 13 plans (78 plan benefit packages) will be offered in 609 counties across 20 states and territories. During 2023, 15 plans participated (119 plan benefit packages) in 806 counties in 24 states and territories.
Four plans will drop participation from 2023 to 2024:
- Catholic Health Care System (CHCS), New York
- Elevance Health, Inc. (MMM Healthcare, LLC), Puerto Rico
- Presbyterian Healthcare Services, New Mexico
- UnitedHealth Group, Alabama, Illinois, Oklahoma, and Texas
Two new plans will participate in the model in 2024:
- First Sacramento, Texas
- Sentara, Florida
