Hi Deb - I do not know what CMS's take would be on using the HHCAHPS Fact Sheet for CAHPS Hospice. However, when I reached out to the CAHPS Hospice Survey Team (HOSPICESURVEY@cms.hhs.gov) to learn what their plans were for creating a similar Fact Sheet for Hospice, I received this reply
"Thank you for reaching out. We currently do not have a fact sheet/introduction letter for the Hospice CAHPS Survey but are discussing what we could provide."
In the interim, we are using an intro letter developed by our CAHPS Hospice vendor & based on CMS's Sep 2023 CAHPS Hospice Survey Quality Assurance Guidelines The intro letter is placed in each start of care packet and shared with patients/caregivers. - Boni
