CMS finally posted a summary of the hospice wage index TEP from September 2025 along with a technical report on its website here (bottom of page): https://www.cms.gov/medicare/payment/prospective-payment-systems/hospice/hospice-educational-resources.
The technical report explains how CMS is thinking about the creation of a hospice-specific wage index, moving away from using the hospital wage index. This shift has already been implemented for dialysis facilities.
