As the Director of Volunteer Services for Community Hospice, I am responsible for mobilizing a team of 215 volunteers to fulfill the mission of Hospice, ensuring the most compassionate end-of-life care possible for our patients and families. I develop and execute strategic and operational plans for the department encompassing everything from volunteer engagement, onboarding a volunteer workforce and documenting volunteer involvement to managing volunteer performance, advocating for volunteer services and sustaining volunteer impact. I also ensure compliance with CMS CoPs and Joint Commission accreditation standards.
In addition to managing large teams, I have experience creating monthly and yearly sales plans/budgets, forecasting sales activities, hiring and training staff and executing business plans in new markets. I also have an extensive amount of fundraising execution and event planning experience.
