We are starting to get request from Rehabs and Ortho physicians to Admit a patient the same day of Discharge, is this a nonbillable SOC ?

  • 1.  We are starting to get request from Rehabs and Ortho physicians to Admit a patient the same day of Discharge, is this a nonbillable SOC ?

    We have always started patients within 48 hours of discharge but now with payment models changing we are getting request to admit the same day as their discharge either from the hospital or rehab.  Would this not be a duplication of services and make the SOC nonbillable?
