CMS has posted the revisions to the State Operations Manual (SOM) Chapter 10 –Informal Dispute Resolution (IDR) and Enforcement Procedures for Home Health Agencies and Hospice Programs via memo QSO-24-11-HHA & Hospice. This is the guidance we were expecting that provides additional instruction to state agency surveyors about the use of the enforcement remedies (a.k.a. alternative sanctions) for both home health and hospice. NAHC staff are reviewing the memo now and will provide a summary soon.
