Hello,
I was wondering if any organizations had policies in place regarding reusable supplies in the home setting? We have a policy that pertains to items that would typically be single use in the hospital, but are often re-used in the home setting such as tracheostomy ties, piston syringes, nebulizer set ups, tracheostomy collar masks, and several additional items. I was attempting to update the policy but am having a difficult time as the IFU's (Instructions for use) typically do not provide cleaning instructions. What do other organizations instruct their staff to do in these types of situations?
