How are other home health agencies interpreting the 24 hour rule for inpatient status? Are you looking at when the actual order was created or when the patient physically came/left the in-patient facility? Within our EMR system, we can see both these factors and we are trying to figure out which one is the correct one to use. We have in the past received denials from some Medicare Advantage plans for not completing a transfer, so we are unsure what these payors use to determine inpatient status for home health. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
