Good morning,
I wanted to make sure you saw a recent post from Davis Baird about NAHC's upcoming advocacy day in Washington, DC:
NAHC is pleased to announce that we will be holding an in-person advocacy day on Wednesday, September 14th (9/14/22) in Washington, DC to allow our members to meet with their congressional delegations and ask for their support on key care-in-the-home policy issues. Use the registration link HERE to sign up for this event (If you plan on attending, we recommend you book your travel and accommodations as soon as possible. Please note there is not a designated hotel for attendees of this event).
The focus of the advocacy day will be garnering congressional supporters for The Preserving Access to Home Health Act of 2022 (S.4605/HR. 8581), asking Congress to oppose MedPAC's recommendation to cut the hospice aggregate cap, and asking for additional funding investments for Medicaid HCBS. Additional material on each of these "asks" will be shared soon.
NAHC has contracted with a third-party group, Soapbox Consulting, to schedule all registrants' meetings with congressional offices. While we recommend all those that sign-up for the event let Soapbox take work off your plate and schedule your meetings, if for some reason you do prefer to set up your own meetings, please let Davis (dbaird@nahc.org) or Calvin (cmcdaniel@nahc.org) know directly via email.
We hope you can make it to DC to help fight for the future of care in the home!
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you!
