The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) released its first national strategy supporting family caregivers yesterday afternoon. Included among the nearly 350 actions outlined that the federal government will take is a recommendation to create a job classification for direct care workers as well as standardization of training and accreditation requirements across all states.
