Hi everyone - wanted to bring to your attention this call for expert panel members from Dr Gunes Koru, please respond to him by COB Friday if you are interested - his email is at the end of the letter - thanks, A.
Dear Colleagues,
We are collecting applications and nominations to serve in the nationwide "Home Health Information Technology (IT) Expert Panel," convened by the partnership of our teams at UAMS and NAHC. This panel will develop guidance for effective and efficient technology adoption in home health agencies (HHAs), including Artificial Intelligence (AI) adoption. The findings and guidance resulting from the panel activities will be broadly disseminated in the related professional venues.
As panel members, we seek individuals with experience, knowledge, and interest in how HHAs should best leverage IT. These individuals might play clinical, administrative, or other roles related to home healthcare. The panel is expected to have representation from a broad range of stakeholders such as home health agencies, health systems and providers, payers, health IT vendors, healthcare consumers (i.e., patients, family caregivers, or advocacy groups), and government agencies. The panel members will be expected to attend monthly online meetings starting in August 2024, which they should find beneficial and informative. As a token of our appreciation, the willing panel members will be acknowledged in any publication resulting from the panel activities. Furthermore, the panel members will be given a $100 registration discount for the H3IT: Home Healthcare, Hospice, and Information Technology Conference (see https://h3it.org), which will be held in Tampa, FL, on Oct 19, '24. Memberships will be awarded in a rolling fashion and reviewed annually for renewal. The current roster of the expert panel can be seen at https://h3it.org/experts.html, which will be updated regularly.
The time is now, and the need is greater than ever to collaboratively work on these important issues to benefit the home health industry and, ultimately, the patients and families in the communities we serve. Please send your applications with a CV or nominations to experts@h3it.org as soon as possible to be part of this important initiative.
Thanks,
Dr. Koru
