Just wondering if any other agencies require F2F's with their HH orders for commercial payors? Most of the time we do receive a F2F encounter along with the order for home health services but we do not make sure all the necessary information is included as most commercial payors do not require a F2F encounters. I have taken a deeper dive into commercial payors medical polices and I have noticed they often reference the Medicare benefit manual or the code of federal regulations which do reference that a F2F is needed. We haven't received any denial of payments from commercial payors but I just get worried since I know how many denials we receive with the Medicare Advantage plans. Thanks for your input!
