Upcoming Live Streaming Event! First Performance Year Quick Guide

To provide home health agencies (HHAs) with a review of what to expect in the first performance year of the expanded HHVBP Model and highlight the resources provided during the pre-implementation year, the HHVBP Technical Assistance (TA) team created an on-demand video and downloadable resource, "First Performance Year Quick Guide", now available on the Expanded HHVBP Model webpage under Quality Improvement. 

The resources follow an SBAR (situation, background, assessment, and recommendation) briefing format, leading to a recommendation that HHAs conduct a strategic review of quality performance and develop and implement an action plan to address identified opportunities for improvement. In addition, content includes a description and timeline for the expanded Model performance reports.

December Edition of the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

The December 2022 edition of the Expanded HHVBP Model FAQs is available on the Expanded HHVBP Model webpage. The FAQs assist HHAs in understanding common terms used in the expanded HHVBP Model and requirements under the Calendar Year (CY) 2023 Home Health Prospective Payment System (HH PPS) final rule. The HHVBP TA Team provides updates to the FAQs as needed and notifies HHAs that have signed up to receive communications when an updated version is available on the Expanded HHVBP Model webpage.

To assist HHAs in understanding the purpose, content, and use of the Pre-Implementation Performance Reports (PIPRs), the HHVBP TA Team provided an on-demand video and downloadable resource, "Introduction to the Pre-Implementation Performance Report (PIPR)", available on the Expanded HHVBP Model webpage under "Model Reports". The video is also available on the Expanded HHVBP Model YouTube channel.

A live streaming event for the "Introduction to the PIPR" recording was held on November 17, 2022. The December edition of the Expanded HHVBP Model FAQs includes questions received upon event registration or during the live event.
