We clean our equipment with saniwipes, the item that is being cleaned must stay wet for 2 minutes and gloves are required to be worn while using this product. Then they lay the cleaned item on a clean barrier to dry, once the item is dry it then is placed back into their medical bag.

Would anyone be willing to share the process for how clinicians clean their equipment (BP cuff, stethoscope etc) to make sure they are putting cleaned equipment on a clean surface to allow for adequate drying time? We just had a Joint Commission survey and were told our process was okay but very different from what she has seen at other agencies.
