Do you send home care transfer summaries (hospitalized patient) on the weekends?

  • 1.  Do you send home care transfer summaries (hospitalized patient) on the weekends?

    We are trying to understand the definition of "business days" related to the regulation of sending a transfer summary within 2 business days.  If the agency operates 7 days a week are we required to send transfer summaries 7 days a week?  Or does CMS define M-F as business days and we are required to send summaries only M-F?
