Hello,
We have a long standing practice of not performing a SOC or nursing visits on a day that a client has a physician appt.  Is there a CoP that speaks to this?  Do other agencies employ this practice?
Certainly, we wouldn't do a visit to change wound dressings if the patient is visiting the wound clinic that day (duplication of services), but what about a SOC for CHF and pt is seeing their PCP on the same day for transition of care appt?

As long as the visits are not for the same reason both should be separately covered as long as all other requirements are met.
