Does anyone have thoughts about, or can suggest processes, to address employees of home health or hospice who are mandated reporters of vulnerable adult abuse under state law who report borderline abuse cases, without informing administration, supervisors etc.? Our policy requires internal reporting, but state law clearly puts the obligation on the individual employee to promptly report to state authorities. So, understandable that they want to report, but we'd like to be in the loop with more senior people at least providing their perspective on the situation.
